President Maithripala Sirisena will participate in the event as the Chief Guest, where over 5,000 members of Community Based Organizations Island wide are participating.

The objective of the Forum is to strengthen, evaluate, and empower the people by setting up the regulation mechanism, and empowering the community based organizations to quench the thirst of rural people in Sri Lanka.

The series of programs parallel to the main event commenced yesterday. At the main event to be held on the 23rd, 70 RO Plants and over 1,000 water tanks will be distributed among the participants and winners of the school art competition and the best Community Based Organization will be felicitated.

Minister Rauff Hakeem and State Minister Sudarshani Fernandopulle will also participate.
