Minister made these comments attending the commissioning ceremony of the 32 kw Solar Power System of Royal College recently.

The newly built solar system worth Rs12.5 million was donated by Manjula Senarathne, Chairman of the NGP Solar Company of Japan on a request made by the minister.

 
 
Addressing the occasion, Ajith P Perera, Deputy Minister of Power and Renewable Energy added that Solar Power will not only generate free electricity but it will also save the environment and help the economy of the country.
