The inauguration ceremony to hand over land deeds for people, who were living without a land deed, was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Elpitiya on 21st August.
The program to issue land deeds is being implemented under the guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
At the inauguration program, about 4,000 people living in Benthara Elpitiya and Karandeniya areas in the Galle District received their land deeds.
Ministers Gayantha Karunathilake,Wajira Abeywardhane, Thalatha Athukorala, and Chandrani Bandara participated on this occasion.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
