Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Few showers may occur in Anuradhapura, Jaffna and Mannar districts.

Strong gusty winds can be expected over the country (particularly in the Central hills of the island, Northern, North-central, Eastern and North-western provinces, and in the Hambantota district) and surrounding sea area, said the Met. Department today (18th Sept.).
