Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Showers may occur in the Northern Province and in the coastal areas of Eastern Province and Puttalam District in the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls (about 50-75 mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in the North –central province.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
