It said that, showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces and in the Puttalam, Galle, and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will also occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (50-75mm) can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces and in the Puttalam Districts.

Fairly strong gusty winds up to 50kmph can be expected in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
