Winds will be South-westerly in direction and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph in the sea areas around the island. Temporarily strong gusty winds and rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

The enhancement of afternoon thundershowers to some extent over the Island can be expected from tomorrow. Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island particularly after 2.00 p.m. Heavy falls about 100mm can be expected at some places in Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, North-central, Western and North-western provinces. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
