    Army inventors shine at 'Sahasak Nimavum-2018'

    Lanka Army personnel who had presented their new inventions for the 'Sahasak Nimavum-2018' competition had managed to win 19 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. According to Army media, 29 Army inventors had submitted their innovations at the national exhibition held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC), recently (14-16 September).

    The exhibition organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission had 335 new inventions on display. Sri Lanka Army inventors from all Security Forces Headquarters, with the support of the Army's Research Analysis Projection & Development Branch (RAP & D Branch) had initially presented 239 inventions.

    A gas stove that burns biological waste invented by Lance Corporal J.C.I Nishanthi of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps won a Gold medal. The elephant repel light, automatic gear system for bicycles and the sample pad (midi) were awarded Silver medals. In addition, 15 Bronze medal were also won by Army inventors.
