A one day workshop for pre-school teachers was also held parallel to the inaugural ceremony. The workshop cover a range of topics from music, dance, child psychology, speech and drama, culture, nutrition, special child education etc in terms of capacity building in Gampaha District  pre-school teachers.

Mrs. Pushpa Rajapaksa, Attorney - at - Law and Chairperson of the Liya Abhiman said the training programme aim is to give international exposure to Gampaha District pre-school teachers and to bring their standards to that level. "We hope to start many training programmes  in various places of  Gampaha District  in the future and this is the first step in that direction,” Mrs. Pushpa Rajapaksa said.

Certificates were issued to all participants who attend the training workshop. (KH)
