under the patronage of Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Wimal Weerawansa at the Maligawatta Pradeepa Hall.

This programme is being implemented on the instructions of Minister Wimal Weerawansa by the National Housing Development Authority parallel to the "Janasevana" National Housing and Settelement Development  programme.

This programme is specially formulated with the intention of providing housing loan facilities to those who earn a monthly salary in government,  semi government  and  private sectors institutions as well as to self employed individuals.

Under this programme,  housing loans up to 5 lakhs will be given for the purpose of constructing new houses, house repairs and to refurbish existing houses.

Initiating this programme, 650 beneficiaries in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara will receive housing loan  entitlement letters at today's event.

The ceremony will have the participation of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Secretary of the Ministry P.H.L.Wimalasiri Perera, Officers of NHDA and beneficiaries.
