Most Reverend Beligalle Siri Jainawansabhidana Nayake Thero and chief incumbent of both Kalegana Chethiyagiri Vihara of Galle and Batuambe Chethiyagiri Vihara of Kandy was appointed as Mahanayake of Dheerananda Sanghasabha of Amarapura Siri Saddhamma Sector recently, at s ceremony held in BMICH Premises under the patronage of Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa.
Credentials and Ashta Pariskara were offered to the Most Venerable Beligalle Siri Jinawansabhidana Maha Nayake Thero by Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
Concurrently, 31 Buddhist priests were presented with credentials as Provincial Nayake Theros of Dheerananda Sangha Sabha of Amarapura Siri Saddhamma Maha Sector. Venerable clergy of the three sectors and Minister Patali Champaka Ranawaka and Member of Parliament Thilanga Sumathipala were among the large gathering present on this occasion.(MED/KH)
