    Computers under easy payment scheme for public officers

    Launching of ” State Mission” programme for the purpose of providing computers under an easy payment scheme for the public servants jointly formulated by the State Trading(General) Corporation, Dell and e.wis Computer companies with Intel technology was held recently at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, under the patronage of the Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa, with the participation of the Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Minister of Education Bandula Gunwardena.

    State Trading (General) Corporation being the pioneering institution in providing relief to the public servants through this programme strengthensthe state mission aimed at achieving the development objectives focused on knowledge in future Sri Lanka, as envisaged in MahindaChinthana - Vision for the future.

     

    STC has implemented several programmes benefiting the public servants. The ”Upahara” package aimed at public servants and ” Web Schools” to educate the younger generation are of special significance to create transformations in the Sri Lankan market. (MED/KH)
