Minister of Construction, Engineering, Housing and Public Utilities Wimal Weerawansa is representing Sri Lanka at the Conference.

Ministers and representatives from 30 countries are participating at this Conference which is taking place in Seoul from November 3 to 5.

At a special meeting held between Minister Wimal Weerawansa and South Korean Minister Suh Seung Hwan, on the sidelines of the 5th Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference, Minister Weerawansa sought South Korea's assistance to build a special housing project for around 28,000 Sri Lankans presently working in South Korea. They also discussed about construction industry as well as investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka.

According to sources, the South Korean Minister has expressed willingness to invest in Sri Lanka. (KH)
