The government decided to organize and conduct the Nirogi Lanka National Health Programme from 01.12.2014 up to 07.12.2014 with a view to enhance the vision and participation of the people on the free health service of Sri Lanka in line with the Mahinda Chinthana policy manifesto,

Planning and implementation of this programme is carried out by the Ministry of Health

The Fifth day of this programme i.e 05.12.2014 has been named as “Day for the health promotion of the staff in Government Institutions”. Accordingly arrangements are being made to make the day under the theme “Healthy day–Productive Public Service”.
