    Secretary Defence Opens Water's Edge 'Drive Thru'

    Dough -Way to Happiness at Waters Edge

     

    Adding yet another facility to the popular Waters Edge hotel in Battaramulla, 'Bakery at the Edge' Drive Thru was declared opened by the Secretary Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa Friday (12th Dec).

    It is the Sri Lanka's pioneering 'Drive-Thru Bakery' replete with freshness, happy smiles and warmest ambience at the Edge. Moreover, Bakery at the Edge is one of the hottest settings that give splendours experience of freshly baked dough to its guests. Freshly baked bread, tempting cakes, scrumptious puddings, thirst quenching smoothies, invigorating coffee etc... are some of the good refreshments visitors could taste here. Hotel is now geared-up with number of exclusive seasonal offerings for those who are looking for seasonal favourites.

     

    Meanwhile, Rajapaksa launched the official website of the hotel during the session and further details could be obtained via www.watersedge.lk.

     

    "Water's Edge" is one of the most sought after venues for meetings, conferencing, exhibition and private functions in Colombo. Uniquely situated amidst a beautiful environment surrounded by waterways the aptly named 'Waters Edge' is a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

     

    It boasts of international standard restaurants, bar, coffee shop, convention halls, a floating restaurant, a fully equipped gym, swimming pool and many more facilities. A domestic airline service also operates flights from a water aerodrome established here.

     

    Urban Development Authority Chairperson Nimal Perera, General Manager Rohan Fernandopulle, staff members and chefs of the new addition were also present at the occasion.
