    Housing Ministry receives France-based OMAC Award

    In what can be termed as a moment of pride for Sri Lanka, the Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Ministry has continued  to attract the world's attention for its quality and excellence by winning the Diamond Eye Award from OMAC in Germany.

    The Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Ministry received the prestigious international award of high standing, the Diamond Eye Award for Quality and Excellence from OMAC (Otherways Management Association Club) for the successful implementation of the Janasevana National Housing, Settlement and Development Project.

     

    The award was presented to Minister of Construction, Engineering Services Housing and Common Amenities r Wimal Weerawansa on Monday at the Ministry at Sethsiripaaya, Battaramulla.

     

    The National Housing Development Authority Chairman Jayantha Samaraweera and General Manager Brig. Mahinda Mudalige received the award in Germany in the presence of the Sri Lanka's Ambassodor to Germany Sarath Kongahage.

     

    OMAC has considered the successful management, precise planning and communication skills shown  in successfully implementing the Janasevana National Housing and Settlement Project for one million people, when selecting the Housing Ministry for the award.
