Total number of new registration of vehicles has increased by 27.7 percent in this quarter as against 2.1 percent increase in the third quarter of 2013. Registration of Buses and motor vehicles were increased by 136.0 percent and 28.9 percent respectively in this period.

The amount of total cargo through Ports Authority has increased by 16.7 percent in this period. Cargo carriages of Sri Lankan air lines increased by 1.2 percent and Passenger kilometers flown were decreased by 3.1 percent in the third quarter of 2014.
