“It was natural that the people felt a need for a change in the political field. Our standard at the recent election was that by making some changes in the existing set up we could achieve our development targets.  At the same time some others felt that the change would be beneficial”, he stated.

“Our conviction is that we fulfill the wishes of the Tamil speaking people and also carry forward the development plans”.

“We congratulate the newly elected President Maithripala Sirisena and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe”, he further stated,
