At the same time,he said that  if there are any paddy land owners who had not been subjected to the revision should give their details to the Agrarian  Services Centres or to their respective Agricultural Research and Production Assistants. The objective  is to identify the number of  paddy lands that are being cultivated at present. Also through this revised database  information that are important not only for farmers but for  implementation of policies related to farmers could be obtained.   

During the initial phase action has been taken to analyse  paddy cultivation patterns, water supply systems for paddy cultivation using rain water, small irrigation and large scale irrigation systems.

The Commissioner General further stated that the attention of the government has been drawn to improve these methods in the future to give a new lease of life to paddy land owners.

This analysis will pave the way to identify  full extent of paddy lands in the country, number of non cultivated paddy lands , problems faced by farmers by letting out paddy lands and the cause for abandonment of  lands.
