The Post Master General said that they were providing a series of services for the benefit of the public. He mentioned that based on the promotional programmes mooted by the Postal Department along with the advanced technology and according to the responses it is receiving, they intend even to operate the Post Offices round the clock.

The Post Master General was speaking during the launch of a Postal Department Promotional programme in Matale. A walk and a procession from the Matale town to Dambulla were also organized. Among those who joined in this programme were officials of the Postal Department.
