He pointed out that the aim of this effort is to fulfill the need of granting a world recognized Nurses Degree in the country itself.

Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne was speaking at a function held at the Nurses College in Kalutara. During the event Nurses from the 2012 A Group that underwent training were absorbed to the Nursing Service.

President of the Public Service United Nurses Union the Ven. Muruttettuwe Ananda Thera joined in this occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Rajitha Senaratne mentioned that all facilities will be accorded for the establishment of the Nurses Faculty.
