District Secretary speaking at a program held for officials to raising awareness about the nutritional conditions of pre-school children said that the children who follow unnecessary needs are susceptible to diseases faster as decrease their nutrition.

The instructions to maintain good nutrition should be implemented in family level with the  appropriate regulations, Mr. Kumarasiri added.

Speaking at the occasion Dr. Palitha Bandara, Regional Director of Health Services said that the nutrition is the foundation for sustainable development.

The program was organized by the Nutrition Coordination Unit in the Health Ministry.
