An institutional repository is a digital online location for collecting, preserving, and disseminating the intellectual output of an institution. 

 

 

The University of Peradeniya  informs that its institutional repository (Digital Library) can be accessed through www.lib.pdn.ac.lk 

 

 

According to the UoP , the Digital Library has four communities. i.e. Annual Research Sessions, UoP journals, UoP research and UoP thesis  The library staff is engaged in entering publications to Annual Research Sessions, UoP journals and UoP thesis as permitted by the university. 

 

 

The University of Peradeniya request the academic staff members of its university to form the UoP research community. UoP has kept space for all the faculties and departments to add their research findings in abstract, preprint or reprint forms as permitted by the publishers. As the digital library is connected to the internet, the visibility of  articles will be increased. 

 

 

Publishers allow the authors to input the articles in their institutional repository in different forms. (i.e. reprint only, post print-auhtor’s version, post print-publishers version etc., ) 

 

 

UoP says that Senior Assistant Librarian of Science Library can assist individuals to find the correct format of their articles permitted by the publishers to be included in the institutional repository.
