Discussions took place when the Military Attaché of the Embassy of Iran in Colombo Colonel Ebrahim Rohani called on the Sri Lanka Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on Wednesday.

They held cordial discussions on a range of issues of mutual interest and bilateral importance, the Navy said.

Colonel Rohani also conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Wijegunaratne on his taking over of command of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
