Based on the Tourism master plan the board approval has been taken to take part at a Global fair, Athukorala said. The Tea Exporters Association(TEA) as informed by SLTPB together with Sri Lanka Tea Board invite private sector tea companies who work in the respective market to join the Sri Lanka Tourism Pavilion - "Ceylon a Tea Boutique".
The contenders through the TEA informs Sri Lanka Tourism and make available the stocks via the Sri Lanka Tea Board to the Sri Lankan Embassy or Consulate who in turn make them available at the Sri Lanka Tourism Pavilion. After the event an evaluation of the number of cups of Ceylon tea that had been served and the comments received is shared with the respective stakeholders, Chairman SLTPB added.
