The Current government will offer Rs.50.00 per 1 Kilo of Samba rice and Rs.45.00 for Nadu rice.

A large number of farmers in Matale district from Minpe, Hasalaka, Galewela,Wilgamuwa and Dambulla areas are coming to the warehouses of the Paddy marketing Board with their yield and they are purchased under limit of 2000 Kilo grams.

New warehouses will also be established additionally to the exist warehouses and a new computerized data storage system of the farmers is also expected to create with the help of the Development officers in the Divisional Secretariats, said Mr.Alvis.
