He made this observation participating at the one day Psycho-social Counselling Programme held for Anuradhapura District's Provincial Secretaries at the Anuradhapura Public Administration Holiday Bungalow.
The programme was organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of psychology and counseling of the Ministry of Social Empowerment & Welfare.
Several theoretical and practical programmes with regard to improving mental health as well as counselling were conducted throughout the day by Psychiatric Doctors and psychologists.
The main objective of the programme is to get the contribution of the society for socio-cultural development by strengthening individual's capacity and self confidence
