The programme of providing nutritional food package worth Rs.20,000 for pregnant mothers which was launched by President Maithripala Sirisena under the 100 day programme of the government is being implemented and being continued successfully.
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for the proposal submitted by Chandrani Bandara, Minister of Women and Child Affairs, to release, in full, a further allocation of Rs. 1500 Mn, as required, in addition to the Rs. 1500 Mn allocated for year 2015.
