Speaking at the ceremony Minister Wijewardene said that the proposals brought in at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva should be taken positively and added that the sacrifices of the War Heroes will not be underestimated.

Further speaking he said that action will be taken to promote peace and harmony among all ethnic groups. He also said that steps would be taken to strengthen laws to curb criminal activities in the country.

Distinguished guests and a large number of people attended the opening of the public facility.
