He chaired a meeting yesterday attended by officials of Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) Sri Lanka Police, Urban Development Authority, National Lotteries Board and the Development Lotteries Board.

The unauthorized pavement hawkers will be given alternative places by the CMC.  Those places will have Electricity, water and security too.
After September 15 places identified by CMC together with Sri Lanka Police which will not inconvenience the pedestrians will be given to sell lottery tickets and newspapers.
