The commemorations of the late Prime Minister Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike and former Speaker late Anura Bandaranaike were also held parallel to this event.

Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva offered the floral tribute to the Bandaranaike Samadhiya on behalf of President Maithripala Sirisena.  Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumarathunge, and the family members also offered floral tributes to the Bandanaike Samadhiya.

Delivering of wheel chairs for disabled people and dry rations for pregnant mother was also held.

SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake, and former Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathne also participated.
