Among the top-level officers he called on were, the Minister of Defence Production at the Pakistan Ministry of Defence, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah and Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman.

Recalling the longstanding friendship between the two neighboring countries, at their official meetings, the dignitaries from both countries exchanged views on a number of matters of bilateral importance, and in particular the cooperation in transnational security issues prevailing in the region. Further, they had also indicated the importance of deepening military-to-military relations of Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
