It will be implemented until 18th March as a pilot project. It is expected to ease the traffic congestion around the area and will be implemented throughout the country if the pilot project is successful.

Feedback will be collected at the end of the seven day’s pilot project to know the shortcomings, practical problems, people’s reactions, and reactions of private and state sector bus drivers as well as private vehicle owners.

The Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development is implementing the project jointly with the Road Development Authority, Sri Lanka Transport Board, Sri Lanka Police, Moratuwa University and Western Province Road Passenger Transport Authority and Colombo Municipal Council.
