    Malaysia to provide training for the public sector

    Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak who met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe  said that Malaysia will support to train more and more employees in the public sector under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program.

       

    The meeting was held on the sidelines of the One Belt One Road Forum yesterday (14th May) in Beijing China. Prime minister Razak said that he hopes to strengthen ties between the two countries.

     

    The delegations exchanged ideas about strengthening trade ties and  promoting Malaysian investors to invest in Sri Lanka. In addition they also discussed about having a Free Trade Agreement between the two countries and it was agreed that initial work should start soon.  

     

    The Sri Lankan delegation included the Minister of Special Assignments Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Minister of City Planning and Water Supply Rauff Hakeem, Minister of Law, Order, and Southern Development Sagala Rathnayake, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickreme, Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake and Sri Lankan Ambassador in China Dr Karunasena Kodituwakku.
