For 20 years, though the National Transport Commission prepared timetables which gave an equal opportunity for all buses it was not implemented due to the intervention of a few bus owners who bulldozed the small bus owners.

There was a discussion at the NTC recently and the chairman of the Commission was threatened by thugs. But the NTC says that even though there are threats, they will ensure that the route buses function according to their time table.
