    May Day celebrations rescheduled for May 7

    The government has decided to move May Day celebrations to May 7 from May 1, after considering a request made by the Mahanayaka Theras.

     

    The prelates requested the government not to hold May Day celebrations on May 1 as Vesak celebrations also fell on the same week.
