The Kalabhooshana Awards are presented to elderly artistes above 60 years, who have rendered a significant service to any field of arts. Applications could be obtained from all districts and divisional secretariats.

All artistes above 60 representing the art fields of traditional painting, sculpture, carving, weaving, lacquering, puppetry, drama, dancing, playing drums and music can apply for the award.

The artistes will be selected representing all Divisional Secretariat divisions. Artistes who applied in 2013 for the Kalabhooshana Award are not require to apply in 2014 as their applications have been forwarded to the selection committee.
