    In pursue of the powers vested in the section 33 sub section 2 (C) of the constitution, the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is dissolved by president Maithreepala Sirisena to solve conflict between executive and legislature powers through seeking the mandate of the voters who have Sovereignty of the country four senior Ministers disclosed this afternoon.

    Participating special media briefing held at the Department of Government Information today these ministers further pointed out that peoples mandate is worth and superior than vote of 225 MPs.
    Explaining the present political situation in the country Education and Higher Education Minister Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksha PC. Said that though section 70 (2) indicates that parliament cannot be dissolved before four and half years, article 33 (2) of the 19th amendment has given powers to president to prorogate, reconvene dissolve the parliament,.
    Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr.Sarath Amunugama said that the government is consists three of executive, legislature and judiciary all part has its own mechanism to control each other and the parliament cannot compete power of the president.
