    June 15, 2019

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leaders who contested the 2004 general election as LTTE representatives has no right to represent Parliament now, Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) leader V. Anandasangaree said.He said the North and East issue could have been solved by 2004 but the TNA leaders did not let it happen. The TULF leader stated this when he visited the Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter, Most Ven.Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera yesterday.

During the discussions, Sangaree pointed out that the all religious leaders including the Mahanayakes of the three Chapters should support the President of the country in taking decisions at this moment.A similar request was made by him to the then religious leaders in 2007 and they had responded it positively, he said. He was also of the view that devolution of power through the Indian system would be a successful solution to the issue.

He said none of the Presidential Candidates will get his support at the next election as every party has wronged the country.Anandasangaree paid homage at the Temple of the Tooth Relic and was also to meet the Mahanayake of the Malwatte Chapter Most Ven. Thibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Siddhartha Thera.
