At the Commander's Office, Messrs Pradeepa Kekulawala, Head of Logistics & Properties and Danushka De Silva, Environment Manager of the 'Sri Lankan Airlines' met Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army Tuesday morning (25) and gifted the Army with 5,000 saplings of valuable varieties under the company's Corporate Social Responsibility project.
Mee, Jack, Kumbuk, Bread fruit, Mango, Naa, etc are among those saplings, donated to the Army. Both of them symbolically handed over a sapling of Mee to the architect of the national drive at the same time at the Commander's office and had a friendly exchange of views on the Wilpattu reforestation project. Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake thanked the donors for their support and highlighted the importance of joining a national initiative of this magnitude.
