The Attorney General’s Department has concluded record number of criminal cases in the first ten months of this year.The Attorney General has also handed down 8,319 indictments in the High Court within first ten months of this year.The Attorney General’s Co-ordinating Officer, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne stated that the Attorney General has concluded 13,283 cases within the last ten months which were handled by both Criminal branch and Child Abuse branch of the Attorney General’s Department.
