A meeting between the District Secretaries of all 25 districts, election officers and Election Commission officials was held under the patronage of Election Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya at the headquarters in Rajagiriya .

The Election Commission Director (Planning) Channa P. Silva told the government news portal that today’s discussions focussed on security, accepting of nominations, election complaints, accepting deposits and the number of officers to be deployed for election duty.
