Upon the directions of Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, 513 Brigade organized the Eye Clinic on 8 March 2020 and the free distribution of Spectacles for needy people on 9 March 2020. The spectacles for the needy people were donated by Mr. Palitha Hewamudali, the Chairmen of National Language Institute.

Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Commander 513 Brigade, Senior Officers, Principal and Teachers of Arali Saraswathi School, Troops and a large number of needy people were present in the progaramme held at Arali Saraswathi School in Vaddukkodai.

Speaking at the ceremony the Commander Security Forces Jaffna thanked Wickramarachchi Optician for technical support and Mr. Palitha Hewamudali for his valuable contribution towards the well being of the community. He also reassured the community that the government and the military are always committed for the peace, security and well being of the Northern population.
