This media briefing was jointly held by the Health Ministry and the Government Information Department was to update the media on the latest situation pertaining to the
Coronavirus.

Further expressing his views Nalaka Kaluwewa assured that the government is acting vigilantly and there was no need for the public to worry and that they should engage in their
daily activities without any fear.

In order to update the public regarding the Coronavirus, all electronic media institutions will jointly broadcast a programme on Sunday (15) from 10.00 am. He also noted that there was no shortage of fuel or essential commodities.
