This survey is being conducted to enable the government to take measures to assist these private sector businesses and companies through this crisis and protecting the jobs of the employees of these companies.Therefore, all private sector businesses and companies are requested to log onto the Labour Department web site www.labourdept.gov.lk and fill in the survey form online and submit it prior to May 03rd. This request was made by the Skills Development, Employment and Labour Relations Ministry and they request separate forms be filled for separate businesses and in the event any assistance is required, such help could be obtained from the labour officer of each respective area.
This survey is being conducted on the advice of Minister Dinesh Gunawardena under the directives of the Ministry Secretary D.M. Sarath Abayagunawardena under the supervision of the Labour Commissioner General A. Wimalaweera.
