A SLTB bus belongs to the Karainagar Depot which was heading to Colombo from Karainagar, Jaffna had slipped off to the lagoon at the Ponnalai bridge over the lagoon in karainagar causeway, on 30th April 2020 and SL Navy made arrangements to lift up the fallen bus, today (01st May 2020). Under the directives of Deputy Chief of Staff and the
Commander Northern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera, naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Area using their equipment and a crane, this bus was lifted up  after a strenuous task. Later on the recovered bus was towed to the Kayts Police station by a naval recovery vehicle.
