Dr Gayan Wedawatta UK, Dr Nilupa Udawatta, Australia, Ms Avanthi Angammana, UK, Ms Iroshini Dassanayake, Australia, Mr. & Mrs A. De Silva of UK, Dr. Anupa Manewa UK, Dr. Himali Somaweera, Mr. Sagara Kalutotage and Ms. Erandathi Rajakaruna USA jointly sponsored the purchase of those provisions to the needy.
On the directions of the Commander Security Forces -East, Major General Senarath Bandara, 232 Brigade troops organized the distribution of those relief packs by inviting those less-privileged families with economic hardships in Kadirapura, Bambarawana, Sooriya Pokuna, Henanigala and Mawanawela villages to the Shalika Hall at Dehiaththakandiya.
This community-oriented empowering programme was an initiative aimed at supporting the livelihood of those poor segments of the society.
Commander 232 Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Liyanawaduge, several Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasions.
