Sri Lanka National Flag was hoisted by Ambassador-designate Professor Kshanika Hirimburegama, at the Chancery premises, followed by singing of the National Anthem by all attendees.

Thereafter, two minute of silence was observed to commemorate war heroes and those who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the motherland, the traditional oil lamp was lit and the oath of public servants was read out by the Ambassador- designate and the staff.

While thanking the staff for their cooperation and support, the Ambassador -designate highlighted the importance of strengthening economic and social ties with French Republic to achieve the President’s vision.
