The revered Stupa articles left Weherahena Rajamaha Viharaya today morning (Oct 4) amidst religious blessings and they will reach the day’s destination, the Tissamaharama Raja Maha Viharaya in the evening while passing the country’s Southern tip, Gandara, Dikwella, Tangalle, Ranna, Hungama, Hambantota and Weerawila.

Hon. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Regional State Officials including Southern Province Governor Willy Gamage paid homage to the Stupa articles while they were at the Weherahena Rajamaha Viharaya on Sunday evening.

The parading of revered articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst religious blessings throughout the exposition. Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
