The minister was participating in the debate on the second reading of the Appropriation Bill (Budget) 2016.
He said the previous government did certain development projects in several fields. But they were not based on the people's needs and were decided upon by the leadership and his henchmen.
"The 'good governance government has given the people the right to live. We have reduced the prices of essential commodities while providing clean drinking water, granting ownership of lands and houses and creating employment opportunities."
The budget has allocated massive funds for the rural development. It has also aimed at creating knowledge-based society and allocated huge funds to the education. Instead of creating a knowledge-based society, there was a corrupt and immoral society during the previous regime", he added.
